Landscapes
“Landscapes are my refuge. I paint landscapes and seascapes for their familiarity. It’s calming for me to create illusionary space on a two dimensional surface. It’s one of the greatest artist’s tricks and seems to bring many people joy…to be able to wander into a painted landscape.” (Mathie).
